Summary
Join ScholarshipOwl as the Director of Sales and play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth. You will develop and execute sales strategies, lead a sales team, manage key accounts, and forge strategic partnerships. This role requires establishing connections with leads, developing sales opportunities, closing deals, and exceeding performance goals. You will report directly to the CEO and contribute to ScholarshipOwl's mission of transforming education funding. The ideal candidate possesses extensive B2B sales experience, strong communication and management skills, and a positive attitude. ScholarshipOwl offers a remote-first culture, unlimited PTO, and a supportive work environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of B2B sales experience, with a notable focus on selling to brands
- Client-centric focus and exceptional communication skills
- Great managerial, organizational, and time management skills
- A bachelor's degree
- Advanced knowledge of the English language
- A positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Establish meaningful connections and relationships with marketing-sourced leads and consult with them on product fit
- Develop and qualify opportunities through prospecting, research needs analysis, and defining requirements
- Identify potential deals and accelerate our sales funnel and work together with our team to diversify our revenue sources
- Close viable product sales opportunities and partnerships
- Lead and inspire team members to achieve remarkable results and grow the team
- Meet and exceed performance goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the US marketing industry
- Previous marketing involvement
- Experience in the media buying and performance marketing industry
- Experience with GenZ marketing
- Knowledge of the American culture or business landscape
