Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in security operations, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IDS/IPS, WAF, and cloud security platforms
  • Experience leading incident response efforts and managing large-scale security events
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to support security initiatives
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR, or ISO 27001
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a SecOps strategy aligned with organizational goals and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR)
  • Lead and mentor the SecOps team, collaborating with stakeholders (CISO, DevOps, IT, etc.) to embed security across the organization
  • Define and track KPIs (e.g., MTTD/MTTR) to measure SecOps effectiveness
  • Oversee daily security operations (monitoring, detection, incident response)
  • Ensure the operational effectiveness of SecOps tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, scanners, cloud platforms)
  • Maintain and review incident response processes, incorporating lessons learned
  • Enhance threat detection through advanced rules and automated workflows
  • Implement security automation to reduce manual workload and streamline response
  • Stay current on emerging threats and keep the team proactive
  • Oversee timely identification, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities
  • Align with compliance frameworks and manage audit evidence
  • Collaborate with departments to enforce security policies and regulatory requirements
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top security talent
  • Provide clear career development pathways with training and certifications
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative environment for knowledge sharing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and securing hybrid environments
  • Expertise in vulnerability management and patch management processes
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and secure development practices
