Summary

Join Eurofins Scientific, a global leader in life sciences, as the Director of Sequencing Sales. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth for the Sequencing business unit, requiring coordination with account managers and the marketing team. You will set and track sales goals, forecast performance, and assess team processes. Mentoring and providing feedback to team members is also a key responsibility. The position involves significant face-to-face customer interaction, requiring strong communication and negotiation skills. This is a remote position with a Monday-Friday schedule.

Requirements

  • BA/BS (preferably in a Life Science, such as Biology, Molecular Biology, etc.)
  • 2-5 years experience in Life Science research
  • The ability to identify and contact decision makers through cold calls, research and networking with existing clients, or other methods that will help in the sales process
  • The ability to develop a strong technical background in molecular biology or genomics
  • Must be able to present complicated scientific data in a logical manner
  • Must posses excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently, and meet deadlines and quotas
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Deep understanding of CRM and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • To be effective you will need to have commanding knowledge of our products and services, target customers, competition in the marketplace, and industry trends
  • Implement sales plan to promote growth of our products and services
  • Conduct visits and meetings with proposed / current clients within North America
  • Performing sales presentations on complex scientific products
  • Manage sales productivity software tools for effectively tracking selling activities
  • Collect competitive information about clients and competition to assist in the development of marketing and sales plans
  • Experience in setting sales goals
  • Provide reporting to management on a regular basis on region developments

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years experience in Sequencing or Genomics Sales is preferred
