Summary

Join Tend, a rapidly growing dental practice, as their Director of Specialty! This vital role involves overseeing all operations of orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics across multiple studio locations. You will develop and implement strategies, partner with studio leaders on team development, drive KPIs and revenue growth, and champion innovative approaches to clinical service delivery. Requirements

  • Have a 4 year bachelor degree
  • Have 4 year minimum working experience in dental practices with a specialty business lane, preferably DSOs
  • Demonstrate proven ability to lead and inspire a team, plus an ability and willingness to delegate & hold others accountable
  • Demonstrate proven ability to gain results through in a matrix managed environment
  • Be detail oriented, and possess the ability to work independently and manage time well
  • Have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Google Applications (Sheets, Slides, etc)
  • Be willing to travel to all states and locations where Tend has studios

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operations of the orthodontics (Invisalign and InBrace), oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics business across all Studio locations
  • Develop and implement the Tend Specialty strategy and administrative functions in partnership with Operations & Clinical Leadership through data-driven solutions
  • Partner with Studio Operations & Clinical leaders in the development, retention, hiring, performance management, compensation, and engagement of each region’s specialty team
  • Drive Specialty KPIs and revenue growth across all studios
  • Champion and lead change, embrace new business models and innovative approaches to delivery of high quality clinical services
  • Present as an exceptional representative of the business both with internal and external (InBrace, Invisalign, etc.) stakeholders
  • Support the resolution of specialty related Member escalations within established SLAs in partnership with the Member Engagement team
  • Travel to all studios in all states to hold training sessions, coach and align on expectations
  • Be accountable for patient satisfaction and financial results for specialty lines of business
