Director of UX, Commerce

Lead and develop a team of product designers, partnering with product management, engineering, and research leaders. The team focuses on product-led growth, running numerous experiments to optimize customer conversion. The role involves maturing an existing team and establishing a team operating system to achieve growth goals.

Requirements

• Have partnered with product and engineering leaders to establish objectives, align on high-level strategies, and inspire teams to execute
• Bring demonstrated success delivering intuitive products - value consumer-grade experience quality while solving enterprise problems
• Have a developed sense for balancing speed, quality, and consistency of design
• Have experience leading design or UX in B2B commerce and/or payments
• Practiced in coaching designers to identify and drive impact that is great for customers and good for business through clear and actionable feedback
• Manage complex scenarios and drive clarity from ambiguity
• Co-create design strategy with peer leaders and designers and influence execution
• Several years of building and scaling a high-performing team of designers, leads, and managers
• Understand how to foster team health and bring a sense of mission as functional lead of a line of business. This includes creating a safe space for feedback, thoughtful team organization, aligning strengths to problems, and providing opportunities for career growth through additional responsibility or impact
