Summary

Circle Medical is seeking a Director of Regulatory Compliance to join their team. Responsibilities

  • Solid understanding of US Federal and State regulatory requirements, particularly in the realm of Telemedicine and Healthcare
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies and government officials regarding inquiries, audits, and investigations
  • Provide routine oversight, monitoring, and auditing of internal business functions to ensure compliance with City, State, Federal, and all local jurisdictions and industry standards
  • Play an active role in external industry group efforts to shape policies, guidance, and standards that are of strategic importance to the company
  • Communicate new developments in regulations to affected stakeholders and oversee effective communication strategies directed to Circle Medical patients
  • Provide departmental guidance regarding team-specific compliance requirements
  • Apply industry expertise and direction to the Growth department regarding initiatives and support a broader strategic compliance direction for the company
  • Advise Leadership and other managers on innovative ways to mitigate compliance risks
  • Design, implement, and audit ongoing review of existing policies, procedures, training materials, and other communication tools to ensure departments meet compliance requirements
  • Identify issues across the organization and develop methods and systems to mitigate risk and improve overall compliance
  • Partner with the Clinical department and Clinical Leadership and provide recommendations on regulatory compliance inquiries
  • Partner with Payer Relations, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), and Clinical departments to credential, enroll, monitor, and maintain provider licensure to meet legal payer requirements
  • Assist as needed and provide expertise guidance related to operationalizing legal regulations on document reviews such as B2B partnerships, contract agreements, and subpoenas
  • Responsible for building regulatory and credentialing team functional needs and developing policies and procedures to meet internal and external requirements for third parties such as the DEA, Board of Medicine, and insurance payers
  • Travel as needed to represent the company with regulatory agencies, policy groups, or other related agencies and meetings

  • Proven track record with other startups or VC-funded companies
  • Experience in telemedicine
