Summary
Join Agility Robotics as their Director of Sourcing and Procurement, where you will develop and execute sourcing strategies, analyze supplier spend and capacity, and negotiate with suppliers. You will lead supplier quality, development, and performance teams, serve as the go-to resource for sourcing decisions, and build cross-functional teams to improve cost, quality, and delivery. The role also involves managing supplier relationships, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance. You will work to develop procurement and ERP systems, resolve purchase order discrepancies, and report metrics. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience or an advanced degree and 4+ years of experience, or 10+ years of experience in a relevant field.

- 5+ years of managing high performing teams from Buyers to Global Supply Managers
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies in both fabrication and raw material supply chain
- Analyze supplier spend and capacity; facilitate and support overall supplier negotiation and engagement strategies
- Participate, support, and execute long term agreements with strategic suppliers
- Lead supplier quality, development, and performance teams to execute the strategic procurement vision
- Be the "go-to" resource for the engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and new product introduction teams when determining best-value suppliers, NPI sourcing plans, make vs. buy, should cost, buy complete strategies, and lead times, etc
- Build cross-functional teams and champion continuous improvement initiatives for cost, quality, and delivery
- Champion value add and value engineering projects to improve part quality and reduce cost
- Lead quarterly business reviews with fabrication houses and key raw material suppliers
- Mitigate sole/single source risk and ensure continuity of supply
- Proactively update management and engineering teams on all critical supply issues
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Visit supplier's facilities and accurately assess technical capability, equipment, and capacity
- Work to develop the Procurement and ERP systems at Agility
- Resolve purchase order discrepancies and invoice issues with purchasing team
- Analyze procurement data and report metrics
- Interpret the conditions and terms of contracts including fiscal and legal implications and advise management on all significant procedures and regulations affecting the contract
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and government regulations
- Act as liaison with external and internal stakeholders on all matters affecting contractual agreements
- Manage, develop and train employees
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Engineering, Operations or MBA would be a plus
- Technical procurement, manufacturing, or electronic component and board level commodity experience
- Proven track record of leadership and team-building skills
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications, e.g. Google Suite, O365, SQL, Access, Tableau, Power BI, MES solutions, ERP solutions, etc
- Knowledge of PLM Software and CAD Tools are a plus
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
- Previous work experience reading 3D engineering models, datasheets, drawings, and blueprints
