Summary
Join our team as the Director of Total Rewards and lead the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies across our midsized global organization. You will oversee all aspects of compensation planning, benchmarking, pay structure development, incentive programs, benefits offerings, and reward strategies. This role requires strategic vision, data-driven decision-making, and proven leadership experience in total rewards across diverse, global, and dynamic workforces. You will lead a team of local, regional benefits analysts/coordinators. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in global compensation and benefits strategies and a strong understanding of relevant compliance regulations. Requirements
- Minimum seven (7) plus years of experience leading compensation and benefits strategies in a global, midsized organization
- Proven experience managing cross-functional and international reward programs
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field or commensurate work experience
- Expertise in global compensation planning, equity compensation, pay-for-performance programs, and benefits strategy development
- Proficiency in data analysis and compensation benchmarking tools
- Familiarity with global compliance standards, such as FLSA, GDPR, and country-specific labor laws
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to navigate organizational change with strategic thinking and influence
- Experience with HRIS and compensation management tools
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute competitive, equitable, and sustainable compensation strategies globally
- Oversee the design, benchmarking, and administration of base pay structures, variable pay programs, and executive compensation
- Evaluate market trends and economic conditions to maintain competitiveness in attraction and retention strategies
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws related to pay and compensation
- Lead the strategy, design, and administration of comprehensive health and welfare benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability programs
- Manage retirement plans, including 401(k) plans, pensions, and other savings plans, ensuring alignment with employee needs and organizational sustainability
- Foster partnerships with vendors, brokers, and benefits providers to enhance program quality, cost-efficiency, and employee satisfaction
- Utilize market analysis, industry benchmarking, and employee feedback to inform total rewards strategies and decisions
- Leverage HR data and analytics to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of reward programs, and assess their impact on organizational goals
- Present insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making and organizational planning
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Total Rewards team
- Foster collaboration across HR and business leaders to ensure alignment and integration of total rewards strategies into the overall HR and business strategy
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, tax laws, and reporting requirements globally
- Mitigate risk by implementing strong governance and ensuring the accuracy of compensation and benefits administration
- Collaborate with senior leaders, managers, and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment between reward strategies and the company’s strategic priorities
- Act as a trusted advisor on compensation and benefits matters
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred
- Relevant certifications such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional), CBP (Certified Benefits Professional), or similar preferred
