Summary

Join our team as a Disability Operations Supervisor and lead the day-to-day operations of the disability claims team, ensuring high-quality service, compliance, and meeting key performance indicators. Supervise a team of claims analysts, providing guidance, training, and support. Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with other departments. Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and ensure timely responses to client inquiries. Experience in disability group insurance and long-term/short-term disability claims is preferred. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with business experience in healthcare or insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of the disability claims team to ensure efficient workflow and quality outcomes. This includes case assignments and performance management
  • Oversight of the scheduling, quality assurance and/or admin functions (including ensuring all intakes are addressed promptly)
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to achieve individual and team goals
  • Drive client satisfaction by ensuring all client inquiries and communications are addressed timely
  • Monitor and assess team performance against established KPIs and metrics
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement action plans
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiencies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by company policy and regulatory standards
  • Prepare reports on team performance and present to management
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • An Associateโ€™s Degree or Bachelorโ€™s Degree is preferred
  • Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred
  • Prior experience with disability claims processing is highly desirable
