You will oversee Axiosโs DEI efforts, working with leadership and employees to implement and advance programs. Responsibilities include partnering with ERG leadership, conducting the annual DEI survey and report, developing a comprehensive DEI strategy, providing DEI training, and reviewing organizational processes through an equity lens. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in a DEI role, strong communication and data analysis skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a DEI role
- Comfort with navigating ambiguity with autonomy, and taking ownership in determining the next step forward
- Proven experience collaborating and partnering with colleagues at all levels
- Strong empathy and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to the company and facilitating conversations
- Experience with analyzing data sets and preparing key findings
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Strong written communication; you will draft frequent company communications in our Smart Brevity format
Responsibilities
- Partner with ERG leadership on budget, programming, policies, and employee engagement
- Manage ERG budgets and track monthly expenses
- Recruit internally for ERG leaders and executive sponsors as needed
- Conduct the annual Diversity & Inclusion survey
- Prepare the data analysis, annual DEI report and Newsletter
- Lead a town hall and/or office hours for employee Q&A on the DEI report
- Conduct an assessment of our current state and create an action plan for our DEI program
- Develop and implement a comprehensive DEI strategy that aligns with Axiosโs mission and values
- Serve as an internal partner to leadership teams to identify DEI opportunities within their departments
- Provide training and resources on DEI topics, ensuring employees at all levels are equipped to contribute to an inclusive workplace
- Maintain a calendar of culturally diverse events, holidays, and recognition dates to use as an organizational education tool
- Review organizational processes and policies through an equity lens and work with stakeholders to make updates that eliminate bias and promote equity
