Join Chamberlain College of Nursing as a Part-Time Online Visiting Professor to teach in our Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) online program. This 100% online role offers flexibility and allows you to share your expertise with aspiring nurses. You will teach courses focused on advanced practice leadership, emphasizing evidence-based practice and leadership strategies. A MSN and DNP (or PhD or EdD) in Nursing, APRN credential, and online teaching experience are required. An Illinois RN license is also needed, and a compact nursing license is highly preferred. Compensation ranges from $715 to $1950 per earned credit hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• MSN and DNP (or PhD or EdD) Nursing degree (doctorate must be conferred)
• Advanced Practice Registered Nursing (APRN) credential
• Online teaching experience
• Illinois RN License
• Required subject matter expertise
• Outstanding written communication skills and familiarity with APA
• Excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment

Responsibilities

• Teach students in the Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) online program
• Teach NR-718: Topics in Advanced Practice Leadership I, focusing on students' roles within APRN specialties and translating evidence to improve quality and safety in healthcare
• Teach NR-719: Topics in Advanced Practice Leadership II, focusing on leadership strategies, interprofessional team negotiations, and collaborative communication to transform healthcare systems
