Summary

Join Chamberlain College of Nursing as a Part-Time Online Visiting Professor and share your expertise in nursing education. This 100% online role offers flexibility and allows you to mentor students in our MSN program. You will inspire students, engage in online discussions, evaluate student work, and foster a collaborative learning environment. The position requires an MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing, an active unencumbered compact nursing license (highly preferred), and an Illinois RN license. Chamberlain provides comprehensive training for new faculty. Compensation is competitive and varies based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree are required
  • Illinois RN License will be required to teach all courses
  • Must have subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
  • Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
  • Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), WebEx/Teams (or similar platform) and Internet

Responsibilities

  • Inspire students to complete their programs by providing regular, meaningful feedback about their academic performance, development and participation while encouraging them to engage fully in their education
  • Engage students in meaningful asynchronous threaded discussions at least 4 days per week, moderating participation, evaluating responses and rationales, and responding to questions or comments
  • Evaluate academic progress and comprehension of course content through assigning and grading quizzes, exams and writing assignments
  • Exhibit Chamberlain Care โ„ข by displaying behaviors of care, respect and professionalism, creating a culture that fosters collaboration, cooperation and respect among all

Preferred Qualifications

Active unencumbered compact nursing license (highly preferred)

  • In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidateโ€™s education and experience
