Visiting Professor

Summary

Join Chamberlain College of Nursing as a Part-Time Online Visiting Professor and share your expertise in nursing education. This 100% online role offers flexibility and allows you to mentor aspiring nurses in our MSN program. We provide comprehensive training through New Faculty Orientation. We are seeking candidates with a passion for nursing and a commitment to advancing the profession. The position involves teaching graduate-level courses, including NR-513, NR-515, and NR-518. Compensation is competitive and varies based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree are required
• Must have subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
• Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
• Candidates will be required to obtain an Illinois RN license to teach all courses (priority given to candidates who are currently licensed in Illinois)

Responsibilities

• Teach students in the MSN program online
• Provide practitioner-focused education
• Share experience and knowledge with students

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year online teaching experience is preferred at the graduate, post-licensure level
• Professional Development experience preferred
• Compact (multi-state) nursing license (highly preferred)
