Ecosystem Project Manager

Summary

Join OpenZeppelin, a leading blockchain security firm, as a Project Manager to support its expanding ecosystem partnerships. This critical role ensures smooth execution of engagements by providing structured project oversight, fostering communication, and optimizing delivery processes. You will manage the project lifecycle, facilitate communication between internal and external teams, track milestones, and maintain documentation. The ideal candidate is passionate about blockchain, thrives in dynamic environments, and excels at multi-stakeholder coordination. You will contribute to best practices and internal tool implementation. This is a fully remote position, requiring availability within Americas or European time zones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in project management, preferably in a tech-driven environment; exposure to blockchain or open-source projects is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage multi-stakeholder communications across diverse teams
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Comfort with technical concepts in blockchain or software development; able to bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar platforms

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day management of ecosystem engagements, supporting the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure
• Facilitate communication between internal teams (engineering, security, product) and external partners to ensure alignment on project goals, deliverables, and timelines
• Track project milestones and maintain project documentation to provide clear visibility into status and progress
• Help establish and maintain realistic resource allocation plans, considering team capacity and project priorities
• Participate in pre-handoff planning sessions to ensure readiness for new partnerships
• Collect feedback from ecosystem partners post-delivery to help improve processes and foster long-term relationship management
• Contribute to the development of best practices and internal documentation, such as the Ecosystem PM Handbook
• Assist in the implementation of internal tools (e.g., budgeting templates, cost estimation frameworks) to enhance operational efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical experience with blockchain technologies, Solidity, or cybersecurity
• Project management certification (PMP, Scrum Master, etc)
• Advanced knowledge of GitHub
• PMO or other people management experience
