Editorial Intern in China

Summary

Hypebeast is offering an editorial internship for an aspiring journalist to join their Media Team. The intern will work closely with the Editorial and Creative Teams to create daily news content across Hypebeast's core verticals and assist in building compelling multi-media content on social media platforms. The candidate should be an aspiring journalist with strong knowledge of street culture terminology, a native Mandarin speaker, and passionate about youth culture, fashion, sneakers, and other covered verticals.

Requirements

• A recent graduate or currently enrolled in a college or university
• High proficiency in spoken and written English as well as a native speaker in Mandarin
• A team player but able to work independently
• Have a high interest in social media and current trends
• Passionate about youth culture, fashion, sneakers, and other verticals covered by HYPEBEAST
• Proactive and willing to learn with a positive attitude
• Immediately available is highly preferred
• Available to intern from Monday to Friday (10AM to 7PM), for minimum 3 months

Responsibilities

• Assist the Editorial Team to produce daily content, both news and features, for the website and social media platforms
• Research and identify emerging subcultures and new communities that Hypebeast can grow into, in order to expand audience reach
