Summary

Join BAD Marketing as an Email & SMS Account Manager and own the performance of eCommerce clients' retention marketing programs. This strategic, client-facing role requires analyzing data, guiding a team, and communicating value to drive sustainable revenue growth. You will build lasting client relationships, manage post-sale relationship management, and ensure clients receive regular performance updates. Responsibilities include leading a team, owning client communication, developing effective email and SMS strategies, communicating account performance, providing campaign feedback, maintaining client feedback loops, auditing client accounts, leading strategy implementation, analyzing performance metrics, making data-driven decisions, and collaborating with creative teams. The ideal candidate possesses a holistic understanding of eCommerce and email/SMS marketing, experience with Klaviyo or a similar platform, account management experience, and a proven track record of increasing retention-driven revenue.

Requirements

  • Holistic understanding of eCommerce and Email & SMS Marketing
  • Prior experience in Account Management and the ability to juggle multiple accounts at once
  • 1+ years of comprehensive experience with Ecommerce platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to relay complex strategy with EXTREME clarity
  • Proven track record of increasing retention-driven revenue and lifetime value
  • Strong QA mindset โ€” able to spot design, copy, or logic errors before campaigns launch

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team confidently with clear communication
  • Own all client communication regarding retention channel performance, growth plans, and campaign direction
  • Come up with effective and revenue-driving Email and SMS strategies that help grow the clientโ€™s accounts
  • Communicate Email and SMS account performance to clients and provide them with proactive plans for optimization
  • Provide feedback on Email and SMS campaigns and automations, ensuring they are error-free and the design and copy are fully optimized and represent each brandโ€™s voice
  • Maintain a regular feedback loop with clients through reporting, strategy sessions, and optimization planning
  • Ensure client satisfaction through regular communication and meetings
  • Audit client accounts to identify automation and segmentation opportunities
  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced email and SMS strategies
  • Analyze performance metrics (open rate, click rate, conversion rate, revenue per recipient, etc.) and translate data into actionable insights
  • Utilize data to make data-driven decisions in Email and SMS design, copy, segmentation, and strategy
  • Guide and collaborate with creative teams (copy, design, technical) to ensure messaging aligns with brand voice and revenue goals

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred experience with Klayvio (if not Klaviyo, an email marketing platform)
