Summary
Join HALO, a leading global NGO, as an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor and play a key role in building positive relationships and ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies. Based in the UK with remote work options, you will provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on various ER matters, including disciplinary and grievance issues, absence management, and performance concerns. You will manage formal ER cases, support conflict management, and provide training to managers. The role also involves data analysis, reporting, and contributing to policy improvements. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Head of HR – Operations & Compliance. The salary is circa £38k.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an Employee Relations role, with strong expertise in employee relations, including advising on complex cases
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of ER matters
- Ensure compliance at all times with employment legislation, company policy / process and ACAS Code of Practice
- Manage a number of formal ER cases, including grievance and disciplinary investigations and hearings
- Support formal and informal conflict management
- Provide training, coaching and support to managers on relevant ER policy and processes
- Maintain the case tracker to ensure all cases are being managed in a timely manner
- Collate data and report on relevant KPI’s
- Analyse the data to identify trends and recommend improvements
- Supporting with administering case documentation where necessary, including drafting letters and investigation reports
- Maintaining case files in line with confidentiality and GDPR requirements
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of current policies, processes and template documentation
- Uphold HALO’s core values and standards, promoting its ethos and mission statement
- Ensure familiarity with and adherence to all HALO policies and procedures, especially the code of conduct and safeguarding
