Summary

Join Arista Networks' Global Legal Team as an Employment Counsel! Provide legal counsel and advice to HR and business partners on various employment law matters. Manage and resolve disputes and litigation. Support the company's employment law compliance efforts across multiple jurisdictions. Report to the Senior Employment Counsel. This role requires significant employment law experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Requirements

  • Attorney/JD with admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
  • 5+ years of employment law experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of global employment laws, preferably including EMEA and/or APAC employment laws
  • Significant experience advising clients on compliance with employment laws and all aspects of the employment relationship, including hiring, performance management, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, and terminations
  • Significant experience with employment litigation, including discovery, strategy, and coordination with outside counsel
  • Experience drafting and reviewing employment documents, including employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and codes of conduct
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to distill complex legal issues into practical business advice
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-function teams

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a legal point of contact for Arista’s worldwide HR team and business leaders, providing advice on a wide range of legal matters
  • Manage employee disputes and litigation with or without the assistance of outside counsel, depending on the circumstances
  • Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements
  • Review and develop employment policies and procedures worldwide
  • Develop and conduct employee training worldwide
  • Conduct internal investigations on a broad range of employment and non-employment matters
  • Develop and support the employment law function for the Arista legal team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior in-house counsel experience
  • Experience with internal workplace or compliance investigations
