Summary
Join Blink Health's Legal team as Employment Counsel and provide comprehensive legal guidance on various employment law matters. You will play a key role in reviewing and revising employment policies, managing disputes, and developing training programs. This remote position requires a JD, 4+ years of relevant experience, and excellent communication skills. Requirements
- JD with excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing in at least one state bar
- 4+ years of combined, relevant experience in law firms, governmental agencies and/or in-house legal departments
- Fluency in English and authorization to work in the United States
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, together with an ability to distill complex concepts into clear, accessible advice
- Ability to own, organize and prioritize projects effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Superior interpersonal skills and team-first attitude
- Sound practical business judgment
Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on a broad spectrum of employment law issues, including recruiting, employee relations, performance management, leaves of absence and accommodations, compensation and benefits and internal investigations
- Review, revise and scale employment policies and practices at a rapidly growing company
- Evaluate and update employment templates
- Manage employment-related disputes and investigations
- Develop and implement training, education and onboarding programs for employees, managers and People team
- Collaborate closely with People and Culture team on company-wide initiatives and policies affecting employees
- Develop and implement standardized templates and processes to help the Legal team scale efficiently during a period of high growth
- Work on other ad hoc projects as needed by the Legal team, with an ability to help define your role as the business and the Legal team continue to grow
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with healthcare, specifically within the pharmaceutical supply chain, and HIPAA
