Energy Engineering Intern, Internship - Canada

Summary

Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Engineering Intern to join their team in Toronto, ON. The intern will provide technical support in evaluating demand side management programs and produce actionable recommendations. The company is a women-led energy transformation firm focused on impact and expanding their portfolio of clean energy solutions.

Requirements

• Be a current student registered in a post-secondary STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, or mathematics) or business program in Canada
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
• Be legal entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations
• Consent to release placement information to Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) and the Government of Canada during and after the placement

Responsibilities

• Junior engineering and analysis support; data collection, energy analyses, and project research
• Primary and secondary data collection efforts, as well as data analysis
• Conduct evaluation, measurement and verification (EM&V) activities for installed energy efficiency measures
• Support and assist with input for technical reports by contributing to draft reports, including results and actionable recommendations
• Support senior staff with the development of presentations and reports

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment
• Experience or education in energy efficiency
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent writing, communication and computer skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
