Engineering Manager, Ads Targeting Modeling

Requirements

• 2+ year of supporting and growing ML engineering team - ideally hiring and scaling a team over 100% growth
• Proven track record of building and shipping large Scale E2E ML Based Products
• Experience in one of the following areas: Machine Learning, NLP, Ranking, Search engine, Recommender system, Knowledge Graph
• Experience managing a team including hiring, onboarding, and professional development
• Experience building 0->1 Products and Scaling Existing Product lines
• You're technical, enough to solve almost any problem your team has yourself, but you prefer to guide your team into solving them
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to collaborate effectively with teams in a fully-remote environment and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with data driven/informed decision making

Responsibilities

• Build new and optimize 1P and Automation targeting products for Ads Targeting that can scale with our ads business over the next several years
• Own the execution of your team’s roadmap and be accountable for consistent, predictable delivery with quality
• Ruthlessly prioritize both planned projects and emergent asks
• Coach ICs and Tech Leads on project management and empower your team to execute autonomously
• Identify risks and proactively communicate them both internally and externally
• Identify your team’s needs, write job descriptions, source, interview, and help close candidates
• Help your engineers identify career goals and create development plans to achieve them
• Constantly seek opportunities to push your engineers & managers outside their comfort zone and turn followers into leaders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with and growing senior engineers IC4+
• Previous exposure to developing and executing Multi Year technical Strategies
• Passionate about building healthy and highly productive teams and collaborating with XFN stakeholders (PM, PMM, DS, Sales etc)
• Management experience in the Advertising domain is a plus
