Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years in software development, with at least 2+ years managing teams
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java, Spring, Python, Go, Ruby on Rails (RoR), or equivalent technologies
  • Education: BS/MS in Software Engineering or a related field
  • Leadership: Proven ability to influence cross-functional, multi-team projects

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier software engineering talent
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by coaching, mentoring, and guiding career development
  • Identify and resolve systemic challenges that impact team performance and software quality
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to support and empower team members
  • Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to align on key business objectives and manage upstream/downstream dependencies
  • Partner with Product Managers on project planning and roadmap execution
  • Contribute to software architecture, data strategies, and team growth
  • Participate in writing patents for innovative and groundbreaking work
  • Champion high coding standards, including unit testing, clean architecture, and modular development
  • Take ownership of products and features at multiple levelsโ€”code quality, data, metrics, and support reduction
  • Ensure new features are thoroughly tested at scale before release
