Requirements
- 4+ years experience working in a software engineering management or leadership role
- Proven leadership skills with hands-on experience in guiding technical teams, adept at both performance management and delivering comprehensive feedback
- Experienced in recruitment and adept at fostering a motivated and committed engineering team
- Strong engineering acumen, with a keen curiosity to lead and innovate in all technical domains of the development process
- Versatile engineering expertise with a history of working in various technical environments, such as cloud services, container orchestration, multiple programming languages, development tools, and open source projects
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the capability to manage complex schedules and effectively resolve conflicts
- A proactive problem-solver who identifies root causes, evaluates optimal solutions, and implements comprehensive improvements to prevent future issues
- Goal-driven with a track record of leading teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- English language proficiency
Responsibilities
- Drive your team to take ownership of services, ensuring delivery meets the highest quality standards for our customers
- Collaborate with your team to define performance metrics, set clear goals, and track progress, ensuring the squad consistently delivers exceptional quality
- Provide coaching, foster professional development, and manage the career trajectories for all squad members
- Accountable for the outcomes of the squad and the development of the team members
- Proactively drive the teamβs direction and roadmaps, fostering ongoing communication with engineering leadership and peers to ensure alignment
- Ensure squad health and performance, mediating interpersonal and technical conflicts within and across teams
- Prioritize the work within the team along with the product team to attend to urgent matters to succeed and meet the needs of Bitsoβs roadmaps
