Requirements

• 4+ years experience working in a software engineering management or leadership role
• Proven leadership skills with hands-on experience in guiding technical teams, adept at both performance management and delivering comprehensive feedback
• Experienced in recruitment and adept at fostering a motivated and committed engineering team
• Strong engineering acumen, with a keen curiosity to lead and innovate in all technical domains of the development process
• Versatile engineering expertise with a history of working in various technical environments, such as cloud services, container orchestration, multiple programming languages, development tools, and open source projects
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the capability to manage complex schedules and effectively resolve conflicts
• A proactive problem-solver who identifies root causes, evaluates optimal solutions, and implements comprehensive improvements to prevent future issues
• Goal-driven with a track record of leading teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• English language proficiency

Responsibilities

• Drive your team to take ownership of services, ensuring delivery meets the highest quality standards for our customers
• Collaborate with your team to define performance metrics, set clear goals, and track progress, ensuring the squad consistently delivers exceptional quality
• Provide coaching, foster professional development, and manage the career trajectories for all squad members
• Accountable for the outcomes of the squad and the development of the team members
• Proactively drive the team’s direction and roadmaps, fostering ongoing communication with engineering leadership and peers to ensure alignment
• Ensure squad health and performance, mediating interpersonal and technical conflicts within and across teams
• Prioritize the work within the team along with the product team to attend to urgent matters to succeed and meet the needs of Bitso’s roadmaps
• To lead by the Bitso values and empower your team while contributing to the overall mission of Bitso
