Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to Python, C/C++, JavaScript, or Go
  • Proven experience in managing infrastructure with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Familiarity with GitOps, IaC tools (e.g., Terraform), and CI/CD toolchains (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI, Jenkins)
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, multi-tenant services, cloud-native applications, and Unix/Linux environments
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture, microservices, and event-driven architecture
  • Knowledge of modern monitoring systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and observability best practices
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript, Go, Python, or other object-oriented languages
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineers while fostering a positive, collaborative team culture
  • Strong passion for improving developer productivity and enhancing engineering processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Platform Engineering team, which is responsible for developer enablement and infrastructure management
  • Build observable, microservice-oriented applications to streamline development, testing, and monitoring processes across multi-cloud environments
  • Design and implement innovative technical solutions to improve engineering productivity, including optimizing CI/CD throughput and workload execution runtimes
  • Manage the entire development lifecycle, from code commit to production monitoring, ensuring stability and performance
  • Collaborate with key product owners, stakeholders, and project managers to schedule, plan, and deliver infrastructure improvements and new initiatives
  • Build and optimize Kubernetes clusters and containerized ecosystems using industry best practices
  • Ensure scalable, maintainable, and automated solutions for infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
  • Establish and manage an on-call rotation for critical internal systems to support development productivity
  • Promote knowledge-sharing and mentorship within the team, helping engineers overcome technical challenges and develop their expertise
  • Design and maintain automated delivery pipelines for systems, applications, and infrastructure
  • Ensure best practices around software engineering processes, including code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent working experience)
  • Previous experience as a technical leader, responsible for large-scale infrastructure projects in cloud environments
  • Experience in managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters from scratch using best practices
