Summary

CrowdRiff is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to the engineering culture. The role involves managing a team of 5 engineers, mentoring team members, collaborating with other engineering leaders, creating a space for collaboration between the team and stakeholders, communicating changes and updates, ensuring high-quality and predictable delivery, and contributing to the Engineering team’s culture, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Has experience in leading and managing a diverse team
  • Has experience in mentoring and coaching individuals
  • Hands-on experience in delivering quality solutions in a timely manner
  • Has a software development background that enables you to drive technical decisions within the team
  • Has excellent communication skills to inform across different levels
  • Willing and able to dive into code when it’s needed

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 5 engineers and monitor team health
  • Coach and mentor team members and elevate engineering excellence
  • Collaborate with other engineering leaders to build, hire and retain teams
  • Create a space for collaboration between the team and stakeholders to deliver the best solutions to interesting problems
  • Communicate changes and updates tailored to appropriate audiences
  • Ensure teams deliver with high quality and predictability
  • Contribute to the Engineering team’s culture, processes and best practices
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and growth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Go
  • Experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node ecosystem
  • Experience with container & orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and Knative
  • Experience with Instagram and/or Facebook APIs
