Summary

The Commerce Engineering Manager at Emplifi will manage a team of high-performing full stack engineers, ensuring optimal efficiency and professional development for team members while maintaining technical excellence. The position requires prior Engineering Management experience, ideally within the E-commerce space. This is a remote/hybrid position, to be ideally based in the Eastern Time Zone.

Requirements

Prior Engineering Management experience, ideally within the E-commerce space

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of high-performing full stack engineers as they deliver new product features
  • Develop, inspire, guide, mentor, grow, and evaluate the engineering team while managing their time and professional growth
  • Liaise directly with customers to ensure our product is providing maximum value
  • Collaborate with PMs and designers throughout the product development process
  • Utilize your experience to establish and expand team best practices, tooling, documentation, communication workflows, and other essential processes for our growing team
  • Consistently challenge and influence the direction of our product offerings to improve visibility, monitoring, quality, security and customer satisfaction through technical and customer focused thinking
  • Work closely with the VP of Engineering, enterprise architects,Β  and other engineering leaders across Emplifi to bring consistency and help integrate the engineering teams and technologies in the Commerce group
  • Provide technical assistance on projects, architecture discussions, high urgency issues, and other critical engineering initiatives
