Summary

Fabric by Gerber Life is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Insurance team. The role involves leading a team of engineers, driving technical execution, strategic planning, project management, hiring, and promoting innovation. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role, strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and familiarity with the insurance industry.

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software engineering, particularly in backend technologies and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS)
• Demonstrated ability to drive project execution, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality software solutions
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers
• Drive the successful execution of engineering projects
• Contribute to strategic planning, problem-solving initiatives, and aligning technical decisions with broader business goals
• Oversee the prioritization and execution of engineering tasks
• Drive the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top engineering talent
• Promote a culture of technical excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with QA processes, code reviews, and maintaining testing frameworks is highly desirable
• Familiarity with the insurance industry or a related field is a plus, but not required

Benefits

Salary Range: $150,000 - $185,000
