Engineering Manager

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in full-stack Software Engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
• Strong technical proficiency with React, TypeScript, NodeJS, SQL, Git
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and time zones
• A track record of building and developing high-performing teams and culture

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to team members to help them grow and develop at Freed
• Establish and maintain effective engineering processes, optimizing for efficiency, scalability, and reliability
• Drive the development and implementation of product features, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and quality standards
• Help to establish and build our engineering culture, ensuring we are hiring and developing talent that encompasses these values
• Take ownership of product features and drive implementation across the backend (TypeScript) and frontend (React/TypeScript) components of our software stack
• Build a diverse and inclusive team of engineers as we scale rapidly this year
