Requirements

  • Proven engineering management experience in a tech-driven environment, preferably e-commerce
  • Strong technical background in software development processes and technologies (Our stack: Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, PostgreSQL, Kafka)
  • Excellent leadership skills with a knack for developing and motivating teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Strategic thinker with a keen understanding of business and market dynamics

Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and execute complex technical projects to success, making key architectural decisions and upholding technical standards and best practices
  • Deliver robust, scalable, and sustainable tech solutions while keeping our tech stack cutting-edge and aligned with business goals
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the team's software at the code level to effectively guide and supervise engineers
  • Manage and mentor a talented team of 6-8 engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous learning, hiring, training, and growing engineering talent
  • Cultivate a team culture that promotes growth, innovation, and accountability, empowering teams to work independently and minimizing bottlenecks
  • Deliver software projects on time, within budget, and exceeding quality standards while monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators for engineering throughput, product quality, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with other business units to align tech solutions with organizational needs, staying ahead of industry trends and competition to drive strategic decisions and innovation

Benefits

  • $195,000 - $230,000 base salary range (dependent on experience level and interview performance)
