Engineering Manager

Summary

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering management experience, ideally leading SRE, platform, or infrastructure teams
• Solid understanding of system design, distributed systems, and networking fundamentals
• Deep familiarity with SRE concepts such as SLIs/SLOs, observability, incident response, and chaos engineering
• Proven ability to drive initiatives from concept through execution in an agile environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable aligning stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains
• Demonstrated success in hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineering talent
• Experience establishing and improving engineering processes

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of SREs, fostering a culture of ownership, learning and psychological safety
• Drive the strategy for improving the availability, performance and efficiency of services
• Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and security teams
• Introduce tools, automation and internal platforms that reduce operational toil and enhance engineer productivity
• Champion best practices in operational excellence, including SLOs, error budgets, incident reviews and deployment planning
• Oversee response and follow-up of major incidents, ensuring robust root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Ensure team roadmaps are clear, aligned with business objectives, and delivered with high quality and predictability
• Foster an environment where engineers are challenged, supported, and provided opportunities to grow in their careers
