Requirements
- 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams, preferably in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment
- 7+ years of overall experience in software engineering, including full-stack development with modern web technologies
- A track record of growing and mentoring engineers, with a strong commitment to people development and team health
- Hands-on technical expertise with scalable systems and experience with distributed system design
- Strong organizational skills and a history of delivering projects that involve multiple stakeholders
- Ability to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term technical investment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially working cross-functionally
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for creating exceptional patient and provider experiences
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers, ensuring they are engaged, growing, and delivering high-quality work
- Manage the delivery of key initiatives that expand the capabilities of our clinical care and pharmacy systems
- Work closely with Product, Design, Clinical, and Pharmacy teams to align on priorities and drive cross-functional collaboration
- Build and evolve scalable applications and microservices using technologies like React, GraphQL, NestJS, and PostgreSQL
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship while actively contributing to architecture and solution design
- Create a strong team culture of technical excellence, psychological safety, and continuous improvement
- Advocate for engineering best practices, including testing, monitoring, and quality assurance
- Participate in planning, resourcing, and prioritization discussions to help set direction for the broader Care Technology team
- Act as a force multiplier for the team by identifying and proactively resolving blockers
