Summary

Requirements

  • 1+ years of professional experience leading an engineering team and working closely with a product organization
  • 1+ years of professional managing 3+ engineers
  • 4+ years of professional experience building features in Ruby on Rails
  • Experience working in Agile development methodology
  • Strong self-motivation
  • A drive to learn quickly and constantly adapt to new challenges

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 4-5 Engineers responsible for our customer facing web application
  • Drive team prioritize and advocating for technical improvements to the platform
  • Coaching and enabling the team to come to the best solutions to proposed problems
  • Providing regular feedback and performance evaluation, along with career development conversations, consistent with organizational practices
  • Partner with Product and Design to enable the team to build features that will drive business growth
  • Engage hands-on in developing software alongside your team (this could range from 10-80% on a daily basis)
  • Partner with QA, SRE and our Principal Engineer to deliver high quality, scalable software
  • Provide high level estimations to business stakeholders when necessary

  • Competitive pay + participation in employee stock option plan. The anticipated pay range for this role is $180,000 - $200,000. Actual title and compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience
