Engineering Manager - Cloud Infrastructure

Summary

Join Lumos, a fast-growing startup revolutionizing app and access management, as an Engineering Manager leading Security Platform and Cloud Infrastructure efforts. You will play a pivotal role in scaling the engineering organization and the company. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Cloud Infrastructure and Security engineers, while strategically hiring and evolving the team. Implement scalable, reliable, and secure engineering best practices to accelerate all engineering teams. This role reports to the Head of Platform Engineering and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Requirements

• 2+ years of proven people management experience leading engineering teams. You’ll oversee a team of 5 engineers, while also staying close to the technical problems
• Experience managing teams focused on Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, or Platform engineering
• Demonstrated experience implementing and fostering agile practices within engineering teams to achieve high velocity and effective delivery
• Proven ability to plan and implement CI/CD strategies with a focus on developer experience while maintaining cost efficiency

• Create and execute on a compelling vision to build world-class systems that empower the rest of our engineering organization and delight our customers
• Lead, mentor, and grow our talented team of Cloud Infrastructure and Security engineers, while strategically hiring and evolving the team to support our ambitious scaling plans
• Champion organizational growth by implementing scalable, reliable and secure engineering best practices that accelerate all engineering teams. Elevate the principles of engineering and management across Lumos

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a startup (ideally 2+ years and at an early stage!)
• Exposure to and understanding of "excellent" engineering practices gained at a top-tier technology company
• Knowledge and experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
