Summary

Join CyberRisk Alliance's Event Marketing team as an Event Marketing Associate and contribute to the success of our cybersecurity conferences and events. This full-time role will involve collaborating with various teams to increase event attendance and engage our audience through strategic content marketing. You will execute marketing plans, create marketing assets, collaborate on messaging, manage social media content, analyze campaign results, and provide on-site event support. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, excellent communication skills, familiarity with graphic design tools, strong organizational skills, and a passion for events. A willingness to travel up to 15% of the time is also required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an interest in the information security industry and leveraging AI technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and engage with diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design tools, Canva preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Passion for events and a commitment to delivering exceptional attendee experiences
  • Willingness to travel for events as required, up to 15% of the time
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work under stringent deadlines, particularly during peak event seasons
  • Familiarity with or a strong interest in learning about the information security industry
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, efficiency, and value creation
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in AI technology

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the VP of Event Marketing to execute strategic marketing plans for each event, including email, advertising, partnerships, and social media (paid and organic)
  • Build creative assets such as HTML email invitations, banner ads, social media graphics and website graphics, ensuring that all content is accurate and up-to-date
  • Collaborate with the event content team on copy and messaging that highlights and connects relevant programming elements to desired targeted audiences
  • Create and manage event social media content calendars, working with internal and external partners on organic and paid social campaigns, providing direction on messaging, CTA, and branding
  • Test campaigns and analyze results and effectiveness to make informed recommendations
  • Attend in-person events to assist at registration, post and monitor social media accounts, and provide additional support as needed onsite
