Summary

Join TbT as a Contract Events Marketer and play a key role in driving brand awareness and generating leads through the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events. This flexible, project-based role is perfect for an experienced event professional passionate about education equity. You will manage the entire event lifecycle, collaborate with internal teams, develop promotional campaigns, and handle event logistics. Success in this role requires strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with experience with various event tools. This fully remote position offers flexible hours and the potential for travel and contract extension.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing both in-person and virtual events, ideally in EdTech, K-12 education, or mission-driven organizations
  • Strong project management abilities—comfortable balancing multiple events, timelines, and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills—you’ll work with internal teams, external partners, and event attendees
  • Creative problem-solving skills and flexibility—events rarely go exactly as planned, and you know how to pivot quickly
  • Experience with marketing and event tools such as Zoom Webinars, Mailchimp, and Salesforce
  • Ability to analyze event performance data and apply insights to improve future events
  • High attention to detail—you catch the small things others miss
  • Passion for education equity and excitement about working with a mission-driven organization
  • Experience working remotely and across time zones

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of events (both in-person and virtual)—including planning, logistics, promotion, execution, and post-event follow-up
  • Coordinate a calendar of events, such as conferences, webinars, workshops, and partner collaborations
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Leadership) to align event plans with strategic goals
  • Develop and execute multi-channel promotional campaigns to drive attendance and engagement, including email, social media, and partner outreach
  • Handle event logistics such as venue coordination, registration management, technology setup, speaker preparation, and creation of collateral
  • Capture and track event leads, working closely with the Sales team to ensure smooth follow-up
  • Measure and report on event performance (attendance, engagement, lead quality, ROI) and provide data-informed recommendations for future events
  • Manage event budgets to ensure cost-effective execution
