Requirements
- A personal passion and commitment to principles of reproductive justice, abortion access, and a commitment to Amplify’s vision and values
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience, with a clear track record in managing teams and campaigns
- Resident of the state of Georgia or willing to relocate to the state
- Ability to work in a remote-first environment using Google Suite
Responsibilities
- Ensure Amplify Georgia’s mission, vision, and values are reflected in all programming and operations
- Build and maintain a positive organizational culture, grounded in Amplify’s values and commitment to distributed leadership
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of Amplify’s strategic plan
- Ensure the strategic priorities are translated into annual work plans in support of achieving operational and programmatic goals
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with and between staff, partners, allies, and the community
- Ensure coordination and alignment among campaign strategies, teams, and partners
- Establish clear roles and responsibilities between staff, partners, advisors, allies, and base members, as well as developing accountability systems for delivering on commitments
- Serve as a thought partner for staff, partner organizations, and allies, working together to engage in visioning and goal setting related to collaborative campaign work
- Build knowledge and expertise about relevant local, state, and national reproductive health, rights, and justice issues
- Develop and implement systems for identifying, tracking, monitoring and reporting on key metrics, progress towards goals, and effectiveness of strategies
- Convene and facilitate Amplify's Advisory Board meetings on a quarterly basis
- Prepare and present reports on campaign progress and achievements for donors, campaign leadership, and the campaign Advisory Board
- Working closely with the fiscal sponsor, serve as the primary point person for all personnel processes (including hiring and terminations, implementing personnel policies, developing and maintaining HR systems and processes, and evaluating and providing resources for employee benefits, and related tasks)
- Lead Amplify's peer management system, equipping managers with the skills and resources they need to manage their teams
- This includes supporting managers to conduct annual reviews, to navigate performance issues, and to make compensation determinations
- Support the team’s professional development through mentorship, coaching, identifying internal and external support resources, and opportunities for growth
- Build a sense of teamwork and ownership, empowering staff through active communication and delegation
- Work with staff to engage in productive problem solving and conflict resolution
- Manage outside vendors and consultants as needed
- Serve as the lead fundraiser for the Collaborative, developing goals and strategies, developing funding applications and proposals, issuing grant reports and other deliverables, and cultivating relationships with current and potential funders
- Oversee grantmaking and stipends to partner organizations, including managing the grantmaking timelines, providing guidance on the proposal and reporting process, reviewing and approving proposals and reports, and providing needed support to grantees
- Works with Amplify’s fiscal sponsor on financial management for the organization
- Responsible for financial scenario planning and preparing and submitting the annual budget to Amplify’s Advisory Board and fiscal sponsor
- Responsible for organizational grant management and compliance
- Approve Amplify purchases and spending
- Review and approve monthly organizational expense reports
- Collaborate with Amplify’s fiscal sponsor to ensure smooth execution of contracts, including the delivery of agreed upon deliverables within the timeline and budget
- Collaborate with the Communications Lead to manage the organization's external communications strategy, branding, and marketing
- Review and approve external-facing communications and materials, including press advisories and releases, and op-eds
- Act as the primary spokesperson representing Amplify in external meetings and events, coalition tables, and other external spaces
- Maintain, improve, and/or develop new internal systems and structures to ensure strong communication, coordination, and information sharing across campaigns
- Ensure Amplify has the technology needed for current organizational operations and programming as well as future growth
- Work with the safety and security team to plan and implement digital security plans and respond during crises
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong preference for candidates with experience living and/or working in the Southern United States
- Strong preference for candidates with a connection to reproductive health, rights, and/or justice; gender justice; and/or racial justice movements
- Strong management skills and experience and a demonstrated ability to build, motivate, mentor, and supervise a team
- Demonstrated expertise in crafting strategies that integrate policy priorities, public engagement, and organizational goals
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and listening skills, with the passion and presence to articulate a vision and serve as Amplify Georgia’s primary spokesperson
- Financial management and fundraising experience, including budgeting and grants management
- Skills in creating and operationalizing strategic plans
- Ability to create and sustain collaborative partnerships
- Ability to implement principles of racial justice and gender justice
- Understanding of the cultural and political environments in Georgia and the Southern United States
- Preference for candidates who have experience with and commitment to distributed leadership models
