Summary
Join Hootsuite's events team as an Experiential Marketing and Events Specialist for a 12-month contract. This pivotal role involves planning and executing Hootsuite's presence at various events. You will support the Experiential Marketing and Events Manager in creating strategic, creative campaigns. Hootsuite offers a flexible work arrangement, allowing for remote work or a hybrid model. This position is open to applicants in Toronto, Vancouver, or remotely throughout Canada and the US. You will report to the Creative Director. The role includes managing event budgets, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and analyzing event performance metrics.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in event marketing preferably in enterprise SaaS and/or B2B
- Previous experience managing vendors and onsite teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally. High level of responsiveness for critical time-sensitive planning
- Collaboration and Teamwork: works with others to deliver results, meaningfully contributing to the team and prioritizing group needs over individual needs
- Process/Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously

Responsibilities
- Support global events strategy including owned, sponsored and in-person events, working cross functionally within the organization
- Be responsible for all aspects of event planning including vendor management, logistics, content, speakers, communications plan, promotion plan, swag, av/tech, creative, agenda, travel, onsite staff, venue selection, onsite production, sales enablement and other logistics
- Be responsible for managing event budget and tracking expenses
- Partner and collaborate with teams across the organization to organize and implement events
- Report, analyze and interpret metrics around event performance. You will work closely with automation and sales to follow the event lead process and track ROI
- Manage individual campaign budgets, while adhering to internal accrual and procurement process
- Coordinate planning and logistics for digital webinar events with webinar lead, with travel 2-5 times per quarter
- Other related duties as assigned
