Requirements

  • At least five years total experience, with three years in a role addressing Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) contracting requirements and compliance
  • Undergraduate degree in business management, legal studies, business administration, project management or a similar field of study
  • Experience with contract/legal language is required
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to stay motivated in a remote work environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work in a growing, fast-paced work environment with multiple competing deadlines and priorities
  • Ability to interface with external parties such as auditors and clients
  • Willingness to conduct infrequent (5%) business travel

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing agreements to determine if federal contractor or subrecipient requirements apply to Energy Solutions
  • Supporting in the review and legal redlining of federal agreements and summarizing compliance concerns for internal stakeholders
  • Analyzing internal business practices and systems to ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • Designing and coordinating the preparation and ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools to assist business units in meeting federal compliance requirements
  • Coordinating the creation, review, and implementation of policies and procedures to comply with federal contracting requirements
  • Applying and interpreting federal audit and compliance requirements for Energy Solutions
  • Assisting with external and internal compliance audits as necessary
  • Interacting with external auditors on matters related to Energy Solutions’ internal federal compliance controls
  • Establishing self-audit and federal compliance monitoring programs
  • Filing and maintaining records including federal regulatory reports, contract documentation, and other documentation
  • Coordinating rollout and training of new or updated policies and directives when required as it pertains to Federal requirements
