The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in label-free technology (BLI, SPR) and immunoassays, along with excellent communication and presentation skills. This position requires significant travel and offers a competitive salary.
Requirements
- Possess a PhD or have equivalent experience; an MS degree with 5 years’ experience with label-free technology (such as Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI), Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), or similar instrumentation) is required
- Have experience with immunoassays development, such as ELISA, SPR, BLI, or similar technology
- Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to articulate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Be self-motivated, well-organized, and able to develop contacts and build rapport at all levels
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills to a diverse level of internal and external clients
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SFDC, or other related CRM sales funnel tools
- Be able to travel upwards of 50% and be willing to operate from a remote home-base location in addition to working on-site
- Be able to lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move 50+ lbs
- Be able to stand, walk, and sit for long periods
- Be able to use hands for computer work, phone calls, and pipetting
- Pass a health screening
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced high-level technical application support and presentations at customer sites, vendor conferences, webinars, and scientific meetings
- Perform BLI analysis of customer samples involving specificity, kinetics, and affinity of biomolecular interactions
- Provide pre- and post-sales support (product demonstrations, technical presentations, seminars, training, and customer service) through joint customer sales visits
- Develop and transfer expert knowledge through training and support of relevant hardware and software while staying current with new assay development
- Proactively address and support customer service initiatives and sales goal objectives
- Contribute to the development of application notes and teaching manuals
- Write technical documents that highlight new and innovative applications resulting in using Gator Bio’s BLI Next Generation systems and label-free solutions
- Stay informed of new areas of technology through research, publications, and patents while partnering with collaborators and industry KOL’s
- Report on competitor’s products and feedback information to the Sales and Product Management teams
- Prior to product launch, be involved in developing protein-protein interaction assays using the company’s proprietary technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Have expertise in label-free technology Bio-Layer Interferometry or Surface Plasmon Resonance products
- Have Liquid Handler experience with Tecan, Hamilton, or Perkin Elmer
