Summary
Join Smartsheet's North America Field Marketing team as a Field Marketing Manager! You will plan and execute a diverse portfolio of events, including summits, roundtables, and trade shows, collaborating closely with sales and marketing leadership. This role demands strong project management, cross-functional collaboration, and event logistics expertise. You'll track event performance, analyze results, and recommend improvements. Based in Bellevue, WA, or remotely in the US, this position offers the chance to shape Smartsheet's growth. The ideal candidate possesses extensive B2B marketing experience, particularly in SaaS or cloud software, and a proven ability to create high-impact events.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of marketing experience, with an emphasis on planning and managing events
- Proven ability to conceptualize and execute unique, high-impact activities and campaigns that drive engagement among existing and prospective customers and sales teams
- B2B marketing experience is essential; experience in SaaS or cloud software marketing is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in executing events across in-person, hybrid, and virtual formats
- Extensive cross-functional collaboration experience; a strong team player
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude with enthusiasm for new challenges
- Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus on Marketing or Business
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the Enterprise Sales team, participating in leadership syncs, team meetings, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and strategic alignment discussions
- Plan, develop, and execute a portfolio of events, including leadership roundtables, summits, account-based marketing type events, user groups, trade shows, and other field engagements
- Develop and manage integrated campaigns and supporting initiatives to drive attendee interest before the event and support post-event nurturing
- Track and report on event performance, including marketing-qualified leads (MQLs), pipeline impact, and sales follow-up. Collaborate with sales on incentives and SPIFFs to support lead conversion
- Conduct post-event analyses to assess effectiveness, generate insights, and recommend improvements
- Oversee all logistical aspects of events, such as venue selection, budget management, registration, attendee communications, speaker management, content development, materials, and onsite execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement multi-touch, integrated marketing programs aligned with regional objectives, revenue goals, and corporate initiatives
- Represent Smartsheetβs core values through effective collaboration and leadership in field marketing initiatives
- Travel within the U.S. and Canada for event execution as required
- Support other projects or programs, as assigned
