Summary

Join Skillsoft as a Field Marketing Specialist and drive country-specific performance objectives across various local marketing channels. This role supports the Global Knowledge business unit, collaborating with global and local teams to adapt global programs to local markets. You will localize marketing materials, support campaign execution, enable sales teams, generate leads, measure performance, gather customer feedback, and collaborate across departments. Success will be measured by marketing-influenced pipeline, leads, and brand awareness. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, collaboration abilities, and analytical skills, along with experience in B2B marketing and familiarity with technical buyers.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills in both English and local-language (verbal and written)
  • Highly collaborative, working well in a matrixed marketing team
  • Proactively driven to connect with and add value to the local GTM team
  • Professional-level mastery of Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and data-oriented decision making
  • Curious, innovative, and optimization-oriented
  • Scrappy – able to navigate through ambiguity in order to deliver programs on time and on budget
  • BA/BS degree or comparable mix of education and experience
  • 5 years of experience marketing

Responsibilities

  • Localization: Adapting marketing messages and materials to fit the cultural and business norms of specific regions
  • Campaign Support: Extending marketing campaign execution across the final stages to land in-market through email, social media, web content, and sales collateral
  • Sales Enablement: Providing local sales team with the tools, training, and information they need to sell the product effectively
  • Lead Generation: Running localized lead generation campaigns and passing qualified leads to the sales team
  • Performance Measurement: Analyzing the effectiveness of local campaigns (both digital and traditional media) and adjusting strategies accordingly
  • Customer Feedback: Gathering and analyzing local customer feedback to inform marketing strategies
  • Collaboration: Working closely with other departments (e.g. sales, product management, operations, etc) to align efforts and maximize impact
  • Monitor and adjust activities based on key results, including engaged web sessions
  • Monitor and adjust activities based on key results, including outbound email performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with transactional services-based business model in a B2B context
  • Familiar with technical buyers (particularly within technology functions) and enterprise technology lifecycles
  • Some sales experience desirable
