Field Strategist - Retail/Wholesale Sales

Summary
Join RELEX Solutions as a Field Strategist and support Account Executives in developing account roadmaps and deal strategies. You will evangelize the RELEX product offering, qualify new opportunities, and conduct detailed needs analysis and requirements gathering. Responsibilities include defining winning themes, creating business cases, responding to RFx, collaborating on solution demonstrations, and presenting to various organizational levels. Leverage your retail and manufacturing industry knowledge to position the RELEX solution and translate prospect needs into value. This fully remote position requires up to 50% travel within the West Region of North America and preferably based in one of the relevant time zones near a major airport. You will work closely with Account Executives and Solution Principals to determine the best approach for each prospect.
Requirements
- Broad industry expertise in retail and/or manufacturing
- Detailed understanding of retail and/or manufacturing business process and application landscapes
- In-depth knowledge of competitors
- Experience building business cases and ROI models
- Possess leadership skills and a willingness to mentor peers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Value selling โ translate the prospectโs issues/pain points to the value and ROI RELEX will deliver
- Flexible and adaptable approach โ being able to communicate advanced logic to a broad audience
- Comfort with travel across the US and Canada when needed
Responsibilities
- Develop account roadmaps and deal strategies
- Evangelize the RELEX product offering and value proposition to prospective customers in the retail and manufacturing industries
- Support the Account Executive in qualifying new opportunities
- Conduct detailed needs analysis and requirements gathering
- Define winning themes
- Create the business case
- Respond to RFx
- Collaborate with Solution Principals on use cases and solution demonstrations
- Create and deliver presentations at various levels of the organization including the C-level suite
- Translate the prospectโs needs to the value the underlying RELEX solution offering can enable
- Collaborate with the prospect to create a business case and ROI model and presenting this at all levels of the organization
- Guide the prospect in the correct direction that suits them, will position us best to win the case, and makes best utilization of our organizational resources
- Work closely with the Account Executive and Solution Principal to determine the best approach for the prospect
- Be directly responsible for Strategic Value Assessment/Business Case activities and deliverables
- Play a critical supporting role in Live Pilot, X-Ray Analysis and Demo
- Utilize the bank of material available, while also being able to create variations and slides/material unique to certain customer/prospect engagements
- Present to all levels of an organization from business users, stakeholders to the C-level suite
- Support the Account Management team in presenting to existing customers in the semi-annual business reviews
- Assist in identifying best fit references with current customers who are going to express their experience of RELEX in the best way for the potential customer
- Interact with all our functional groups, including Professional Services, Presales Analytics, Product Strategy, and Product Management
- Convey the needs and scope of the project to Professional Services
- Utilize professional services for their approach to projects in general and best practices with our current customers
- Work closely with Presales Analytics team as it relates to RFx responses as well as X-Ray (Proof of Concept) projects
- Make best use of new features and help contextualize them within a sellable product to the potential customers
