Finance Analyst (Tax Specialist)

Summary

The job is a contract/consultancy position in the Finance department of World Business Lenders. The Tax Analyst will be responsible for tax planning and compliance activities, including preparing tax returns, coordinating with external advisors, maintaining tax records, researching tax regulations, identifying tax planning opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in tax planning and compliance, preferably in a multinational organization
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations in the US (required)
• Experience working with external tax advisors and handling tax audits
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tax projects
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Fluency in English and Spanish, both oral and written
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to changing tax regulations and business requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other tax filings
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns
• Support the finance team in tax audits and provide necessary documentation as required
• Maintain tax records and documentation in compliance with local tax laws and regulations
• Research and stay updated on tax regulations and requirements in USA
• Identify tax planning opportunities and assist in implementing tax strategies to optimize tax liability for the company
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax compliance in business operations
• Assist in developing and implementing internal controls related to tax processes
• Provide tax support and guidance to other teams within the organization
