Summary
Join Version 1's Finance department as a Finance Business Partner and play a critical role in driving financial performance and providing strategic insights. Partner with the Practice Managing Director and their leadership team, providing financial support for decision-making. Model various outcomes based on changes in business strategy and provide financial implications. Collaborate with the team to develop and manage budgets, ensuring key targets are set and achieved. Prepare monthly forecasting and produce detailed monthly analysis of actual performance. Provide strategic recommendations based on margin analysis to enhance operational efficiencies and improve profit margins. Participate in strategic planning initiatives and assist with the integration of acquisitions. Streamline workflows between finance and operational teams. Prepare and deliver regular reports to finance leadership. Support the annual budgeting process and handle ad-hoc projects and analysis.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant
- Proven experience (5+ years) in financial analysis, business partnering, or a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
- Track record of providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across departments
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proactive and results-oriented with a strong sense of initiative
- Team player who demonstrates strong drive for results, shows leadership, and possesses strong negotiating skills
- Ability to be professional and approachable to all levels of employees from junior grade to Senior Managers
- Intermediate – advanced level Excel skills
Responsibilities
- Partner with Practice Managing Director and their leadership team providing financial support to aid their decision-making process
- Model various outcomes based on changes in business strategy and provide financial implications of each scenario to guide decision-making
- Collaborate with team to develop and manage budgets, ensuring key targets and plan to achieve them are set
- Prepare monthly forecasting, together with FP&A, ensuring commercial and delivery team alignment
- Produce detailed monthly analysis of actual performance and provide variance analysis/insight from actual trading results against KPI’s
- Provide strategic recommendations based on margin analysis, aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies, reducing costs, and improving profit margins
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives, challenge existing processes and strategies to drive business growth and profitability
- Assist with integration of acquisitions into group
- Streamline workflows between finance and operational teams, ensuring financial operations meet business expectations
- Prepare and deliver regular reports to finance leadership on key initiatives, financial performance, and ongoing projects
- Support the annual budgeting process
- Ad-hoc projects and analysis as required
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Netsuite and Adaptive Insights an advantage
