Remote Finance Manager

As Marker Learning’s Finance Manager you will play a critical role in the building of Marker's in-house Finance function. You will own the financial model, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic finance research for key initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven track record in a Finance role, specializing in implementing tech-enabled service solutions for both commercial and enterprise clients
• Experience working within companies that are Series A-C
• Experience working in education or healthcare is a plus, in order to demonstrate deep domain knowledge and understanding of industry-specific challenges and requirements
• Motivated by Marker Learning’s mission to provide affordable and accessible learning disability support to all students who need it
• Willingness to get into the weeds, be scrappy, always be a team player, and familiar with remote team management

Responsibilities

• Own the financial model dynamically in support of company and product strategy, including frequent scenario analyses
• Manage existing Accounting partnership with external partner focusing on monthly financial closes, audit readiness, and effective control implementation
• Analyze, recommend, and help execute capital strategies in service of the company strategy and necessary corporate milestones
• Implement company and team-level budgeting (annual and quarterly)
• Implement and drive monthly BvA analysis with the Leadership Team
• Establish a high bar of financial literacy and shared Finance ownership across the Leadership Team
• Partner with the Business Operations team to reliably surface the business critical KPIs
• Contribute to board deck preparation and financial performance reporting with investors
• Own the centralized contracting function across school district clients and vendors to ensure supported and responsible cash flow management
