Summary

Requirements

  • Accounting qualification or qualified by experience (IFRS standards)
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Strong reporting experience
  • Very good/Good knowledge of Italian accounting and tax requirements
  • Budgeting/ forecasting
  • Transactional activities e.g. raising invoices, credit control
  • Strong accounting background
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Solid communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • A meticulous focus on meeting deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and financially astute
  • Commercially aware
  • Adheres to health and safety practices
  • Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for UTAC Italy
  • Management of cash flow requirements
  • Meeting all weekly, monthly and year-end internal and Group reporting deadlines
  • Management of the relationship with external accounting firm
  • Transactional responsibilities for raising invoices and managing payments
  • Analytical review of actuals vs budget
  • Continually improving financial processes, including system improvements. Devising and implementing change across the business to drive efficiency
  • Implementing appropriate financial controls
  • Support annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting process including cash forecasting with operations team
  • Credit control/ cash collection
  • Accountable for the compliance of financial statements with Group Accounting policies, IFRS and relevant tax law
  • Create and implement a financial control framework consistent with Group policies
  • Responsible for all tax and regulatory filings (with external support)
  • Other ad hoc projects to support the business, as appropriate
  • Act in accordance with the behaviours for Utac staff at all times
