Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a data science, statistical modeling, or related role within a finance organization
  • Previous experience in Cloud, datacenter planning, or parallel field
  • Strong understanding of statistical forecasting methodologies, including time series analysis, regression analysis, or other statistical analysis implemented in support of financial analysis
  • Experience performing complex financial analyses
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other MS Office tools
  • High level of self-sufficiency with proven success at self-teaching and a high intellectual motor
  • Proficiency in Python or R, and SQL

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term forecasting models for datacenter power, GPUs, compute, networking equipment, and other key cloud hardware components
  • Partner with finance colleagues to integrate demand forecasts into Excel driven financial models to create medium to long-range demand and supply estimates
  • Utilize a variety of statistical forecasting techniques, including time series analysis, regression modeling, and other relevant methodologies
  • Collaborate closely with operations, product, and engineering teams to understand product roadmaps, capacity planning initiatives, and market trends that may impact future demand
  • Develop and present clear and concise reports summarizing forecast results, key assumptions, and potential risks and opportunities to finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to assess the financial impact of various factors on hardware demand forecasts

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or MS is preferred
  • Experience with Grafana, NetSuite, or Salesforce is a plus
