Summary

The job is for a Financial Analyst at Valatam, a company that builds remote teams in Latin America. Requirements

• B2 English and Spanish writing and speaking skills
• Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software/ tools
• Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques
• Experience with financial planning and analysis software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
• BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• Graduated with a college degree
• Able to work 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 9 am-6 pm in US time zones
• A quiet home office with a desk and office chair
• Stable internet with at least 10 MBPS download & 2 MBPS upload speed
• A laptop/desktop with 8GB RAM, a 1.6GHz processor, and 50GB of free hard-drive space, a headset, and a smartphone

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports, forecasts, and projections
• Review and analyze financial statements and variances to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial models and tools to support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support business initiatives and projects
• Proactively identify and recommend opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
• Assist in the preparation of materials for management meetings and presentations, including financial reports, business cases, and investment proposals

Preferred Qualifications

Access to a backup place of work in case they suffer a power cut or internet failure, as well as a secondary backup internet option (mobile hotspot, Multibam, WiPod, etc.)
