Finance Specialist

Join Zipdev's team as a Fractional Finance Specialist (10 hours/week) supporting the financial operations of multiple business and personal entities. Responsibilities include managing financial operations across three companies and two households, creating and managing budgets, tracking expenses, monitoring cash flow, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, liaising with financial professionals, and recommending process improvements. The role requires 5+ years of finance experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high integrity, excellent communication, and proficiency in Excel and financial tools. Prior experience with executives is preferred. The recruitment process involves a video interview, a skills test, recruiter calls, and client interviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to work independently and think strategically
• High integrity and discretion with sensitive financial data
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Proficient in Excel and financial tools (QuickBooks or similar)
• Tech-savvy; comfortable learning and using new platforms

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee financial operations across: Three separate companies. Two households
• Create and manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accuracy
• Monitor cash flow and proactively flag issues or opportunities
• Prepare reports and financial insights to support leadership decisions
• Reconcile accounts and oversee bookkeeping functions
• Liaise with accountants, tax advisors, and other financial professionals as needed
• Recommend and implement financial tools or process improvements
• Maintain high standards of confidentiality and data integrity

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation tools (e.g. Notion, Power BI, Zapier, etc.)
• Familiarity with U.S. or international financial reporting
