As a Financial Analyst, you will be a vital member of the Finance organization, assisting with month-end close processes, creating department-level variance to budget reporting, and performing ad hoc financial analysis. You will work closely with the FP&A team and other departments. This role involves assisting with operating model updates and analysis, competitor and peer performance benchmarking, equity and credit investor financial reporting, departmental variance analysis, annual budget and rolling forecasting process, and ad hoc financial analysis. Octane is a remote-first company with 550+ employees and over 30 OEM and 4,000 dealer partners. The position offers a base salary of $65,000 to $85,000, along with a stock option package and various benefits.
Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Accounting, Finance, Data or Business preferred
- 1-2 years corporate finance experience, preferably in investment banking or corporate finance
- Some experience with three-statement modeling and forecasting of long-term financial results strongly preferred
- Strong critical thinking and analytic abilities, with a high attention to detail is required
- Possess advanced knowledge of Excel
- Comfortable working independently, as well as with a team
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Able to multitask and consistently deliver for multiple different teams
Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
- Basic SQL proficiency
- Experience with Adaptive, Anaplan, or related planning tools
- Knowledge of credit or loans
